Reduced Benefit Cap Would ‘Force Large Families Out Of The South-East’

Tory plans to reduce benefit cap to £23,000 a year would leave large families on benefits unable to afford rent and facing relocation elsewhere in UK.

  1. Where will these families go. Cannot go North as the North doesn’t even have the Housing for its own let alone more from Southern England. Even if they could be housed in the North their are not the Jobs available to take in another huge influx.
    The Plain truth is Affordable rented housing has to be Built and rents subjected to a Housing cap, affordable to People on Low income. which means the new social housing has to be State Owned. (Council housing) and funded from the Taxpayers Purse .
    The Housing benefit Bill would not be so high if the tenants trapped in Private rented places could move to State Owned Social Housing.
